KNOWING THE LOVE OF JESUS
‘This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us’ (1 John 3:16).
The apostle Paul said, ‘I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me’ (Galatians 2:20). He talked to the Ephesian church about having the power ‘to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God’ (Ephesians 3:18-19).
Jesus said, “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down his life for his friends… I no longer call your servants… Instead, I have called you friends” (John 15:13,15).
