1 John: 3. 1. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
The love of God is what heals our wounded souls. It's what gives us confidence. It's what gives us courage. Knowing that we are loved perfectly by a perfect, powerful God changes us like nothing else.
Father, help me to realize that I don't have to earn your love or approval. I thank You that I am acceptable in Your sight because the sacrifice of Jesus has given me Your righteousness. I will live my life to please You today, not because I have to earn Your love, but because I want to show my love for You. In Jesus name, amen.
